Woman found dead at South Side motel

Sun-Times:

A 55-year-old woman who was found dead by police in a South Side motel Saturday afternoon possibly was involved in an earlier domestic-related problem.

The woman was found dead at 7621 S. Cottage Grove Ave. about 2:28 p.m., according to Calumet Area detectives. Barbara Ann’s Motel Two is located at the address, according to a Yellow Pages directory.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance at the motel and found the dead woman, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.

Police said the death is possibly domestic-related, and the suspect is not in custody as of early Sunday.

Honestly, I've heard that local motels have had seedy reputations. While some neighborhoods want to know when a Nordstrom's will set up shop perhaps, there ought to be a need to change the seedy reputation of these motels. The Chatham neighborhood should have a Hilton or a Hampton Inn or even a Holiday Inn.

Just sayin!
