Row houses on 69th and King Drive

I wonder are these type of buildings rare in Chicago. Perhaps when it comes to building back up the city we should bring these type of buildings back!

  1. I wish these types would come back, too. They're so attractive, in my opinion, but I guess people want yards and detached houses more. It's unusual (I think) to find houses like this so far south (probably has something to do with the railroads), but there's a ring of rowhouse neighborhoods around the loop, including neighborhoods like Lincoln Park, Bucktown/Wicker Park, Garfield Park, Lawndale, Pilsen, Bridgeport, Grand Boulevard, and North Kenwood/Oakland. Some of those areas have a lot of them left, some have relatively few.
