The John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago has temporarily transferred seven beluga whales and four Pacific white-sided dolphins to the Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration
The animals will stay at the Connecticut facility for a nine-month visit while renovations to their exhibit in Chicago are finished.
Shedd's two male and five female belugas will join Mystic's one male and two female belugas in the 800,000-gallon Arctic Coast exhibit.
