Ald. Sawyer on mayor-city council relations!

From the Tribune. They did talk to three other aldermen including 5th Ward Alderman Leslie Hairston from the nearby 5th Ward.
Ald. Roderick Sawyer, 6th, who voted against two of the mayor's initiatives:

"I'm still of the belief that we will come together on something as a council. ... And it's not something that's anti the mayor or anything like that, but just to show that we can get together on something and push forward something of our own, as opposed to us waiting for the mayor to propose something to us and us reacting."

  1. It's refreshing to read about a politician that has courage. That's one of the qualities it takes to be a leader.

    With that said, I believe the people in the 6th Ward are in control of their own destiny. We have the talent and skills to reinvent our community.

    Wrong job for on-the-job training.
