CTA station naming rights for sale

[VIDEO] Just got wind of this story via Curbed Chicago. Looking at the write-up by Tribune transportation writer Jon Hilkevitch, three area L stops could be among the 11 stops where the naming rights are for sale:
The stations are Addison, Belmont, Fullerton, North/Clybourn, Chicago, Grand/State, 79th and 95th on the Red Line; Ashland/63rd on the Green Line; O’Hare on the Blue Line; and Midway on the Orange Line, officials said.
Hmmm, and in the above ABC7 video Apple helped to improve the North/Clybourn station on the north side I suppose this would be welcome for Ashland/63rd, 79th, and 95th stations. Hopefully they could get the treatment North/Clybourn did.

Still, selling naming rights seem corny to me. Do we really want to see our transit maps dotted with *insert corporate brand* 95/Dan Ryan?
