DNA Info: Fioretti Putting Together Campaign Staff for Mayoral Run

Sometime this month candidates for city offices will circulate petitions and it seems 2nd Ward Alderman Bob Fioretti will be handing around petitions not for Alderman but for mayor. He's already putting together a campaign for such a purpose:
Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd) said Tuesday he was putting together a campaign staff to mount a potential challenge against Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Fioretti said he would make a final decision on whether to challenge the mayor after talking to more residents and examining his own gut.

"I'm putting together a staff," Fioretti said. "I'm weighing my options."

Despite Fioretti's reluctance to announce he was running for mayor, the Downtown alderman sounded like a candidate for citywide office at Ald. Nicholas Sposato's announcement that he would run for alderman of the 38th Ward after his 36th Ward was remapped to include a majority of Latino residents.

Fioretti said he was working to develop a "people's platform" that would speak to all of the city's residents.
Anyone else you want to see run for Mayor next year?
