Round-up over at the Capitol Fax.
In 2006, Meeks was ready to consider an independent campaign for governor against Blagojevich and state treasurer Judy Baar Topinka and was persuaded by the governor that he was working on the issue of public education funding. Needless to say that promise came to naught since the governor has been re-elected. Seems like Meeks has realized he's been duped and holding the man who could've handled this issue, responsible.
I wonder if Meeks, he ran as an independent for state senate back in 2002 but is on the Democratic caucus in Springfield, will actually run in the Democratic primary against Blagojevich by 2010.
