Meeks says he wants the business community to pay as much attention to school funding and achievement as they do to the city's bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics.Can't do much with the schools unless we can get as many people as possible involved with finding was of making our schools better. My thing still is the answer still can't only be throw more money at the schools.
Meeks attended a breakfast Friday at the Executives Club of Chicago, where Chicago 2016 chairman Patrick Ryan was the keynote speaker before a crowd of more than 1,000 people.

Afterward, Meeks said he planned to meet with Ryan. Meeks also says he has a meeting set for Monday with Governor Rod Blagojevich about his education demands.
Still it's great to see Meeks keep a spotlight on our schools.
