Inquiring minds would like to know what is Alderman Lyle's stand on the proposed motel?

Inquiring minds would like to know where does our Alderman Freddrenna Lyle stand on the motel issue at 76th State? With two CBO's having different opinions who is right? Will rsidents have to go to zoning or ask our mayor for relief?

At the Sub-area meeting that CAPCC held last week, I stated that my policy has been to refer proposed zoning changes to the community in which the property was located through the community association that represens that area. The community association then sends me a letter supporting or opposing the change. Without abdicating my responsibility to make a decision based on what I believe to be in the best interest of the overall community, in most instances I concur in the recommendation received from the community association.

Due to a continuing disagreement between Park Manor Neighbors and Chatham Avalon Park Community Council as to who represents the residents residing south of 75th and north of 79th from State to Cottage, the developers will be asked to present to both associations.

I however am not aware of any differences of opinions between the residents represented by these two organizations. In fact neither has taken an official position that has been communicated to me at this time.

  7. http://www.legacyprojectchicago.com/ is the website.

The Legacy Project is headed by Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to having their church there, they will also have a hotel/convention center, family entertainment area , housing and businesses.

Instead of everything centering in downtown, this can help our neighborhood with more economic development, and visitors can spend their money here in our variety of businesses.
