Did you forget there was an election coming up?

Now that the conventions for both the Republicans and the Democrats are now over we can talk about some events to take place regarding this November's Presidential Election. Ways you can get involved in the political process in this election year.

First thing is first, you must be registered to vote. Tomorrow, there is a voting registration drive to take place at 715 E. 83rd Street. Refer to flyer below for more information on voter registration any further questions call 773.721.4041.

BTW, on the FB page for the 6th Ward Democratic Organization there is some information regarding phone banking every Monday for Organizing for America and some other activities:
6th Ward Neighbors:

Effective this Monday August 27, 2012, our OFA Monday Night Phone Bank will take place at a new location in the 6th Ward. I recently met with Ald. Roderick T. Sawyer about our MNPB events and our team has been granted an opportunity to use the 6th Ward Democratic Campaign Office located at 461 E. 83rd Street. So please continue to stay involved and plan to come out on Monday
night’s to help us make phone calls in support of the re-election of President Barack Obama at our new location.

The 6th Ward OFA MNPB will take place every Monday night (excluding Labor Day) until Election Day. Telephones will be provided so please bring a friend. Our MNPB starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m., I plan to arrive around 5 p.m. so please be prompt, fired up and ready to go.

In addition, the OFA 6th Ward Neighborhood Team will be traveling back to Davenport Iowa on September 15, 2012 and again on October 20, 2012, to help the President win this crucial battleground state. Please let me know if you need more information or would like to sign up and attend.

Very truly yours,

Eric M. White, Esq.
OFA 6th Ward
Neighborhood Team Leader
