Aldermen discuss S. Side redevelopment

From the New Communities Program from Sept. 25th, 2007. It might be old but still an article worth reading. The issues haven't change for sure. It involves two recently elected Aldermen (Sandi Jackson - 7th, Willie Cochran - 20th & Pat Dowell - 3rd) in addition to one who was re-elected (Ald. Lyle). A pair of unresolved issues is developing a former factory site on the lakefront in the 7th Ward as well a bringing a Wal-Mart to 83rd and Stewart which is actually in Ald. Howard Brookins' ward.
