Why Barack owes Clarence Thomas, another view

Another post from Eric Zorn. What would have happened if in 1991 then Illinois US Senator Alan Dixon had voted against appointing Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court? If he hadn't voted for Justice Thomas the domino effect probably wouldn't have been conducive to the rise of a young state senator to Presidential candidate.
