Chicago's unemployment rate was 8.2-percent in January. The metropolitan area lost 106,000 jobs between January 2008 and January 2009. 34 year old Jelani Adofo Shaw has been jobless for a year.
SHAW: There are jobs out there. It's just a lot of people looking for jobs right now. I've gone on a couple interviews and what-have-you but unfortunately I haven't got the offer letter just yet.
