This afternoon I paid a visit to Jim's Original hot dog stand near 95th & State. Because it's near the 95th Street Red Line terminal is often jumping 24/7.
The news that was posted around the structure wasn't entirely surprising (I'm also sorry I didn't take any photos of the notices posted on the structure) as of November 10, 2014 this hot dog stand will be closing permanently. The CTA's 95th Street station project is expected to take up some of the land along 95th & State from roughly 94th to 95th Streets.
Even though they recently painted the fences the gas station on the corner of 95th & State is also expected to be razed as a result of this project. There are other properties there another gas station an old cab stand (or livery service) also a recently built currency exchange and former home of a Cosmo store are expected to go as a result of the 95th Street project.

Now the next question is what is the CTA expected to do with this land once they're finished with the CTA project?
