Gas prices again. Update as of Dec. 12

It's been a wild week for gas prices...earlier in the week, Deerfield dropped to $1.62, while many Chatham are stations were still up in the 1.69- 1.79 range.

When i left work Friday afternoon, gas in Deerfield shot back up to $1.79 at one station.

In Chatham, Friday eveing, there were still some in the $1.57 range (they finally matched BP at 76th & State).

I haven't gone out yet (on Saturday), so i am not sure where we stand.

If you see some gas prices, feel free to comment on this or any other gas price thread, to let us know if things have changed.

if it's still at $1.57, i would advise gassing up, even for a couple of gallons!

UPDATE:Oops...too late! BP rose back up to $1.67 (as of Noon on Saturday). WFIE in Evansville IN reported on a similar gas price spike downstate.
