Who's candidate 5? - with a huge addition!!!

This story warrants it's own thread. I'll keep any Blagojevich goodies in the Blagojevich thread.

Speculation is that it might be Jesse Jackson Jr. One of the Congressmen who represents the 6th Ward.

This was a guess made by Clout City. Here's the post on other possible people who were named in this investigation. There are other candidates, but people want to know who Senate Candidate 5 might be?
Senate Candidate 5:

CLUES: According to the complaint, this person is "publicly reported to be interested in the open Senate seat"; the governor's purported interest in the candidate was also leaked to the Sun-Times. Blagojevich "was giving Senate Candidate 5 greater consideration for the Senate seat because, among other reasons, if ROD BLAGOJEVICH ran for re-election Senate Candidate 5 would 'raise money' for ROD BLAGOJEVICH. . . . Senate Candidate 5 was very much a realistic candidate for the open Senate seat, but . . . ROD BLAGOJEVICH was getting 'a lot of pressure' not to appoint Senate Candidate 5."

GUESS: Jesse Jackson Jr.
Marathon Pundit (MP) also gets his thinking cap on and reached the same conclusion. The vexing question that I have is what is the importance of Candidate 5. I think I found my answer here when MP's John Ruberry links to an article from the Southtown:
Federal prosecutors say someone approached Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Candidate 5's behalf and offered to trade campaign contributions for an appointment to the Senate.
This is turning into a BIG mess. I can only imagine that this is only the beginning. Who else might go down as a result of this man's greed?

ADDITION: The CapFax says that federal prosecutors want to talk to Rep. Jackson. Not a good sign! However the Congressman still says that he's not the target of this investigation.

EXTRA ADDITION: The CapFax says that the Congressman Jackson will have a press conference in Washington, DC at 4:15 Eastern Time!
