IL Secretary of State urges organ donation

WGIL.com:
April is National Donate Life month, and as the curator of the nation's largest organ donation program, Secretary of State Jesse White, will travel around the state to encourage people to become organ donors.

White says there's more to do than just indicate you want to be a donor on your driver's license. He says you must also either go online to www.lifegoeson.com or call 800 210-2106 to indicate your desire. White also says the rules have changed since 2006, and family members or other witnesses no longer need to approve of an individual's organ donation, and once he or she decides to become an organ donor, it becomes a legally binding contract.

White says those who save lives by donating blood or organs are truly heroes. He pointed to one of his Jesse White Tumblers who was shot and killed in Chicago, but the tumbler was able to provide a second chance to about six more people.
Hey isn't organ donation an issue for blacks?
