Burnett Defrantz was last seen in the area of the 7400 block of South Wabash Avenue, according to a missing persons alert from the Chicago Police Department. A date of last contact was listed in the alert as Friday.
Police News Affairs Officer John Henry said at 4:15 a.m. that Defrantz has been found safe and was transported to University of Chicago Hospitals for an examination. Henry did not immediately know when or where the man was found.
Defrantz was described as being 5-foot-11 and 125 pounds with brown eyes, gray or black hair and a light complexion. He was wearing a red hoodie, pink jogging pants, a black baseball cap and white gym shoes when he went missing and had no ID or money with him. He suffers from memory loss and police were concerned that he could be very confused, the alert said.
