Lens on Atlanta

A concept discussed on one of my favorite blogs, MyUrbanReport. The blogger Amani Channel gives a description:
I’m the new Content Manager for LENSonAtlanta, a new social community that is designed to promote education, the arts, community activism, and civic discourse.

LENSonAtlanta is being developed by PBA (WPBA/WABE), Atlanta’s public broadcasting stations. The community is currently being fine tuned, and will launch this summer.

This will be a great opportunity for community organizations, and those who may not be engaged with social media to dive in.
Could such a venture work in Chicago?
