2 AM shooting on east 87th Street

According to the Tribune there were two shootings one in Chatham and another on the West Side early this morning and late last night:
In the first slaying, officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of East 87th Street in the Chatham neighborhood at about 2 a.m. and found the man, who authorities believe was in his 20s, dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators believe the man was in the residence with two other people, one of whom drew a gun during an argument and shot the victim.

As of 6 a.m. the Cook County medical examiner's office did not have the man's identity. The attackers are not in custody, and Calumet Area detectives are investigating, police said.
