CAPCC wants a new library building

Make the New Library be just like the Bucktown-Wicker Park Branch - CAPCC Blog

The Chatham Avalon Park Community Council wants a new Whitney Young Library branch similar to the one already constructed in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood. The pic you see to the right is the Bucktown/Wicker Park branch provided by the Public Building Commission of Chicago.

It looks like they want to keep it at the same location @ 7901 S. King Dr. with the following amenities: 30 computers for children on the 1st Floor and 30 computers for adults on the second floor with multiple access points (antenna) with powered tables for Wi-Fi. In addition to a reading room and a meeting room for adults and a dedicated classroom with a laboratory for children.

You know I should check out the Whitney Young branch before they eventually tear it down. What don't they have that the Wicker Park branch has?

You can check out this page on the Whitney Young branch from the public building commission as well.
