  1. It should be noted that this is a partial list of objections that have been heard and continued. There are other objections that are scheduled to be continued through Wednesday 12/15/10 and the reasons are the same except in one case, Burundi Davis who's candidancy is being challenged because he owes parking tickets and has discrepant signatures on his petition. But in a couple of cases the additional hearings will be of no consequence as the hearing officers have ruled in their cases but it has not been signed off by the election board. Sekum Walker who was not a registered voter at the address on file with the election board at the time he presented signatures and is not registered at the address listed on his petitions and Bobby Joe Johnson who has been kicked off the ballot for Alderman and State Senator in the past, has discrepant signatures on his petitions. Both of these candidates will hear their fate Monday before the hearings scheduled.

Overall, I think these candidates need to seriously look at their candidancy. Are you running on ego or are you running because you feel you can make a difference. When the five candidates collectively didn't collect 2000 signatures and unchallenged signatures of a 1000 that doesn't look impressive in a ward with 55,000 residents.
