Also, I wanted to share this in the spirit of "reducing the stigma of accepting mental health". It's disturbing hearing about the suicides of Chicago Police active or retired, and hope that we'll get those troubled police officers the help they need.

Sadness and devastation have overcome my life. There was such unexpressed sorrow that despite being given options, he felt this was the choice to make. I’m at a loss and at this time I cannot say much more. While some actions cannot be stopped, please acknowledge depression and reach out to everyone, especially first responders. They cannot unsee the horrors of the world. Help reduce the stigma of accepting mental health.Condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues!
