PHOTO: Could this be the old Chatham Village Square?

Well Worlee himself says yes. Found this at a FB group he had discovered called Children of Chatham, Chicago. This was one of many vintage pictures found there. This had to have been even before my time.

I remember visiting this place before the many changes and the fire. I know there was a sign for a bowling alley that may not have even existed. But no indication of a People's Gas customer facility yet, but I do remember here near 87th Street & Cottage Grove that this was where my parents would pay the gas bill once upon a time.

This is to say that I don't remember this place looking like this. As we all know this shopping mall looks radically different after not only a fire, but also redevelopment as Target took up residence in this lot by 2002. Anyone else has any memories of the old shopping strip here. Feel free to share!
