Response to the pic of the "flood" at 95th & Wabash

Well actually the Alderman emailed the blog with an assurance that the problem was being worked but also added that there were other problems closer to the Dan Ryan. What I'll post was a response to my reply of her initial message where I asked about the potholes that revealed ancient street car tracks on 95th & Michigan:
At 95th on Michigan the street was torn up down to some old street car ties.  Yes they were repaired but not well, the street needs tol be torn up and rebuilt.  But the ruts that the buses were creating on Michigan were asphalted.  On 95th at the bus stop near the east bound curb we have to get a concrete pad for the bus to stop on, so that is still an open item.  The repairs that Commissioner Byrn (DOT) performed were at the corner of 95th & State in the right turn lane, as you turned there were these huge ruts mixed with some pot holes.  He had them tear that up and put concrete under the asphalt.  Most of the 95th & State damage is from the trucks and buses, so the street needs to be torn up and rebuilt.

People assume we know all of the problems that exist in the ward, but of course we don't so please keep bringing things to my attention.
So let's open up the floor of this blog. What needs fixing in your neighborhood? E-mail us or drop a line in this thread.

I should post her  e-mail address but my personal policy is that I won't post some contact info publicly without permission, however, you can always call her office or 311. You can go to her City Council profile here for contact info to her office. If there's a problem in your neighborhood especially infrastructural issues make it known and be heard!

Oh and it might help if you have digital pictures as I do.
