Happy New Year. Now get out your wallet. The start of each new year always marks the beginning of new fees, increased fines and other ways our politicians nickel and dime and dollar us to death.Add this to our list of goals maybe not just for the ward but to the city. A decrease or an elimination of some of these fees. Of course I may understand that this may come at the expensive of some city services.
It may be our imagination, but it seems as if we're getting swarmed more than ever by these taxing tsetse flies.
Maybe we're feeling big government's hand in our pockets more often because our pockets are so much smaller.
In Chicago, they literally get you coming and going.
