Ald. Michelle Harris is seen on Good Day Chicago this morning. Harris discusses the ward's senior programs even mentioning that the media age of residents there is 50. She also discusses infrastructure, especially a new high school to be built in the ward. Even new park amenities as well as tax preparation at Olive-Harvey College. And another issue facing the ward is a grocery store.
Heh that means there's a need for more than a Pete's Produce on 87th and Stony Island and two Jewels one at 95th and Stony Island and one on 71st and Stony Island. Of course the one on 71st at least isn't in the ward at all.
Oh and I've heard about the dollar store located at the former Jewel ner 87th and Stony. That wouldn't be a bad place for a new grocery store. I've heard that people in that area didn't like the idea of a dollar store there.
