Police are watching you...AND your car!

From a Greater Chatham Alliance Newsblast
SPECIAL ALERT...........

It has come to my attention that the Chicago Police are not only patrolling our area for crime,  they are also patrolling for Vehicle Violations!

Just letting you know that if your license plate is expired, you have no City Sticker, or you have 2 or Outstanding tickets, they are placing tickets on the windows and recommending the boot!

This is just a warning so that you are aware of what is going on. The City Needs Money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May God Bless.

  1. They have been doing this everyday for the past several years. They start about 4am with the revenue trucks and go down every block. I not 100% sure but I believe my block has the recore with about 11 boots in one day.

  2. These are Department of Revenue employees, not exclusively CPD. I saw 3 near the intersection of 79th & Cottage on foot yesterday about 4. They walk the metered areas during the day and work overnight in trucks. They are booting all over the City at night. Remember to keep your tickets under the boot threshold. We have more cars on the street that neighborhoods with indoor parking due to the number of apartment buildings. If you are boot eligible you need to park in your garage consistently.
