VIDEO: Jahmal Cole speaks at Chicago Crime Forum

[VIDEO] Footage of Chatham resident Jahmal Cole's speech from last Saturday's Q & A with Garry McCarthy hosted by GCA. He refers to that event as a "large scale public intervention". Even gives us a history lesson talking about how the Great Wall of China came to be built. It took years for that wall to be built and unfortunately he says the Chatham neighborhood doesn't have that much time to keep people out. Or probably more to the point to make Chatham a better neighborhood.

EDIT: Feel free to visit Cole's Role Model Movement website

Also here's another [VIDEO] from ABC7 sent to me from the Greater Chatham Alliance. Basically a compilation of footage from various events around the city with a "laser-focus" on the issue of inner city violence. There is especially footage in the story of the McCarthy event from GCA.
Sooo. That's certainly in contrast to the story I showed on Sunday. It was where McCarthy announced that they had made an arrest in the homicide of a 7-year-old girl on the west side of town.
