CTA adding routes to Bus Tracker

A couple of Sixth ward bus routes are going to be added to a new system provided by the CTA. Crain's has the story...
The Chicago Transit Authority plans to add 18 more bus routes to its online tracking system as it looks to provide riders with more-accurate travel information.

The CTA Bus Tracker program, at www.ctabustracker.com, currently includes 14 routes that can be followed on the Internet. The program, which will add the new routes in two weeks, allows riders to see where a bus is and provides estimated arrival times at stops.

“Providing our customers with bus arrival information is a top priority at the CTA,” Ron Huberman, president of the agency, said in a statement.

The CTA plans to have all of its more than 150 routes included in the program by early 2009.
As of May 19th the #75 & 67 bus routs will be added. Of course you can go over to the Crain's website to check out the other routes that will be added into the system.
